As a pioneer in modular building kit systems, item enables engineers and innovators to create customized industrial solutions. item China is the wholly owned subsidiary of item Industrietechnik GmbH in Germany, established in 2011. With a strong presence in China, we combine: - item’s global engineering expertise - local market needs to provide professional products and solutions for customers in China and across Asia. From manual production and automation to intralogistics, mechanical engineering, clean production and digital engineering, we support our customers from solution design through to project implementation.

50 years of item – an idea that took the world by storm

The business started up by two ambitious engineers working on designs in an office in the German city of Solingen back in 1976 is now a leading global supplier of a versatile Building Kit System for industrial applications. What’s more, a whole host of different sectors use our solutions. For over 50 years, our mission has been to help design engineers from all over the world turn their creative ideas into reality.
